  • 1 Orange
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 2 quart apple cider
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1/2 lemon


  1. Wash the orange and stick the whole cloves into the orange. Wash the lemon and slice.
  2. Slice the orange. Combine the clove-orange pieces, cider, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and lemon slices.
  3. Simmer for at least thirty minutes. A crock pot works great for this. Serve hot.
  4. Serve hot on a cold, rainy day. This brew imparts a wonderful aroma in the house. This cider is also good with a dash of brandy.
