  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Coarsely Chopped Toasted Pecans
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 tablespoon Expresso Granules
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 4 oz Whole Eggs

  1. Beat and set aside, i egg white In mixer, beat together; butter, brown sugar, sugar and expresso granules. Add and mix well, eggs and vanilla.
  2. Mix together and stir into batter; flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir in choolate chips and pecans.
  3. Divide dough in half. Lay logs on sprayed, parchment lined pan and brush with egg white. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
  4. Remove and cool. Slice each log into 1/2 inch slices. Return to oven and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool. Makes approximately 36 bars.
