Best Place To Stay in Asheville en Sweet Biscuit Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

4,8 Último comentario publicado el julio 12, 2017

This was my second stay in this lovely inn. The hosts are congenial; the inn is lovely and the food is delicious. Really the best breakfast I have ever had at an inn of any sort, and I have stayed in many. Claudia is a fantastic chef and and very willing to work around food allergies and preferences. Highly recommended!

Our Romantic 4th of July Birthday Getaway en Albemarle Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

4,4 Último comentario publicado el julio 10, 2017

My husband and I approached this stately looking white southern Inn in Asheville, NC and we knew immediately it was going to be a great stay; and we were not disappointed . The host and hostess were extremely courteous and accommodating from the start, could not do enough to please us. Surprised me with a cake on my birthday morning and arranged a massage for my husband and I, made fantastic dinner arrangements and even when I lost a make-up bag, they found it and mailed it to me. Their breakfasts were superb, beds were really comfy and the Inn is in a great location. Highly recommended and we would stay there again. Nancy and John Carpitella

Amazing B&B in the heart of Asheville! en Crooked Oak Mountain Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

5 Último comentario publicado el julio 05, 2017

The Crooked Oak Mountain Inn is one of the most beautiful and serene B&B’s in which we’ve ever stayed. Innkeepers Patti and Bear made us feel so welcome and right at home from the moment we pulled into the driveway. They were so accommodating, preparing a delicious vegan breakfast for our party each of the days we were there, and giving us wonderful suggestions for restaurants and attractions to visit in and around Asheville. We can’t wait to visit again!

Heaven on Earth en Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

5 Último comentario publicado el julio 01, 2017

We have been to many B&Bs, but Abbington Green takes first place in our minds. Nick and his staff go beyond to provide a great experience for their guests. If you are going to do Asheville the place to stay is AG B&B. The rooms are spotless and define a period in time which is authentic and follows what Nick himself would like if he went to a B&B. His breakfasts are superb. They are not just put on the table, they are lovingly prepared and explained to the guests what it is - you can feel the great pride that Nick has for his creations. He also prepares a 5pm social hour inclusive of local beers (Asheville is the home of at least 5 local breweries), excellent wines and a sampling of food to taste. This includes cheeses, sausage, specialty items like mac and cheese balls (delicious). Abbington Green is also pet friendly. Nick has 3 units in the carriage house which welcome pets. So do not be afraid to bring your dog or cat. Things that you may not even think about are at Abbington, such as the water that you drink and shower with is filtered. There are several gardens on the premises, some of which contain herbs and vegetables which he uses in his prepared meals. However, it is worth a walk thru just to see the variety of plants that surround this villa. There is a full length porch to sit and converse with other guest while enjoying his social hour. On the porch are the dulcet tones of a wind chime which is soothing and welcoming. This home is in the Montfort section which is only about a mile into the center of Asheville. I have said enough except for the willingness of Nick and his staff to please every guest and treat them as family. Nick will bend over backwards to get you into restaurants and also provides tickets to various attractions so you do not have to stand on line.

We had such a wonderful time staying at the Wildberry lodge and will certainly be back! Not only was the view incredible, but the rooms and lodge itself had amazing accommodations. There was a three course breakfast meal every morning, an available hot tub, outdoor fire pit, game room, movie area, and more! If you want a relaxing stay, this is for you. For entertainment, Asheville is only 25-30 min away. This is a stay you won't want to miss out on!

My wife and I wanted a quick getaway before the Memorial Day holiday weekend. We visited Abbington Green at Christmas and decided to return in May. As before, Nick was a consummate host, great breakfast provider and his dinner suggestions were spot on. While not in downtown Asheville, it is a short walk or drive and offers the best of both worlds. It was a great and relaxing stay and we will return again.

Best B & B Ever en Brookside Mountain Mist Inn (Waynesville, North Carolina)

5 Último comentario publicado el junio 02, 2017

We stay at Brookside Mountain Mist for 3 nights and loved it. The mountain views from the back patio and living room are amazing. I love sitting on the patio in the morning with my coffee and the afternoon with my wine. The rooms are so clean and comfortable we did not want to leave. The breakfast are outstanding and wonderful. I had to buy a cookbook. We did order an intimate Dinner for 2 and loved all 4 courses, well worth it and you don't have to bother with the crowds in the restaurants. We will be back.

And on-Reid Inn en Andon-Reid Inn (Waynesville, North Carolina)

Great B&B. Have stayed at many and this is one of the best. Hosts attention and though on what amenities might be wanted was amazing. Neat town location and then only a 30 minute drive if you wish to go over to Asheville. Plenty of cute shops and restaurants in Waynesville though if you are staying for just a couple of days. If longer, probably want to venture further as it's a small town. We totally enjoyed our 3 night stay there and I highly recommend it.

Perfect Place to Recover from a Tough Hike en Laughing Heart Lodge (Hot Springs, North Carolina)

4,8 Último comentario publicado el mayo 26, 2017

My family and I stayed one night at the Laughing Heart Lodge after hiking on the Appalachian Trail for three days. It rained for nearly the entire trip, so we were grateful to have such a lovely place to recover from the enjoyable, but difficult hike. The first great thing about the lodge was its location: we were able to see the sign for the lodge from the Trail itself, which meant a short walk to shelter (as it was still raining). Once we were promptly booked in, we were shown to our excellent rooms. The rooms (we stayed in Monarch and Cardinal) struck a perfect balance between historical charm and modern convenience. As you can see from the photos, the furniture has a great "small town southern charm" vibe to it, and that carries through in person. But if you worry that that vibe means missing out on modern comforts, you would be wrong! The bathrooms were both very modern, with attractive, clean showers. Cardinal also featured an electric fireplace, which was perfect for drying out our wet boots and socks. The best aspect of our stay, though, was the service. Right from the get-go, we were made to feel at home, despite our soggy and dirty appearance coming from the trail. Karen was very helpful in helping us figure out where to eat and what to do in the area, and very accommodating to any requests that we made. She was also an excellent cook. Breakfast offered a variety of choices, despite the fact that we were the only guests eating (we stayed on a Wednesday night): cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, homemade granola, eggs, and biscuits. Everything was delicious. The lodge also offered free water, coffee, and tea 24/7 in the dining room, which was a nice perk. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay. The lodge and grounds were beautiful and the service was excellent. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area - and the fact that the lodge is so great makes it more likely that I'll find myself in Hot Springs again!

An underpriced Gem en Grandview Lodge (Waynesville, North Carolina)

5 Último comentario publicado el mayo 13, 2017

Jeffrey and Bre have a wonderful B&B at a price well below what they could charge. We stayed in the main house on the second floor and our room was wonderful, bathroom clean and the bed comfortable. The house has so much atmosphere, it was built in the 1800's, modernized very discreetly and is beautiful. The breakfast served was equally good and left us not needing lunch that day! All in all a delightful stay in a wonderful home run by great people.

Very disappointing en Albemarle Inn (Asheville, North Carolina)

1,8 Último comentario publicado el mayo 10, 2017

The Albemarle has lots of potential, but fails to live up to it. First the pluses. It is an interesting old house (National Register) in a quiet middle class neighborhood a short drive to downtown. The room was large. But the carpeting in our room was very worn, rippled and spotted in many places. The blinds in the room were cheap mini-blinds. The bathroom looked to have been a do-it-yourself remodel project using cheap fixtures from Home Depot. Half of the bathroom was under the sloping rafters so that a 6 foot adult could not stand up. The shower was the smallest I have encountered in the US. Even the toilet paper was super cheap thin industrial TP. There was a hole in the wall where the towel bar had been ripped from the wall. All of this surprised us since the Inn was well rated on TripAdvisor and by AAA. We've stayed in very nice bed and breakfasts, and this did not measure up.

Wonderful place en The Orchard Inn (Saluda, North Carolina)

We spent one night at the Orchard Inn on our way from Kentucky to Charleston. The sun was shining and a cool breeze was blowing so we enjoyed wine on the porch before dinner. After a really good four course dinner, we gathered upstairs in a large, comfortable sitting room before bedtime. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a cool breeze. Breakfast the next morning was amazing. You really must try the French toast. WOW. We will definitely stay here again.

Was planning on camping in the area then the weather turned REALLY nasty with high winds and lots of rain. Decided to look into accommodations and Laughing Heart was the only place with a room left in the area. Wasn't ever planning on it, but turned out to be a wonderful place and would recommend it to anyone.
