We stayed with our four-year-old daughter for a single night. The staff accommodated our late check-in, and was kind and helpful throughout our stay. We loved the open kitchen for late-night snacks. Our daughter adored their pet birds. The historic building was interesting, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. If we again have the opportunity, we would definitely return!

Wonderful, friendly staff, great room. Much better than the hectic stay at the major resorts.

Loved stepping back in time along with the small town atmosphere. Quaint, lovely and just 20min away from Orlando attractions -- we left Orlando early to get back to window shopping, coffee houses, micro brewery, ice cream parlors: a piece of America

A unique 1920s hotel that is worth the stay. Next to a 22 mile bike/running path in a quaint town.

Located in scenic Winter Garden, the hotel itself is historic and you can ask any staff member and they will be happy to share it's rich history with you. From the area's oldest manual elevator, to the hardwood flooring in the halls, to the design of the individual guest room, everything about the Edgewater Hotel is a throwback to days gone by. A delicious included breakfast, that is cooked-to-order, rounds out a most unique stay in one of the most unique B&B's around.

Edgewater is a lovely older hotel that occupies the second floor of a historic building in the quaint town of Winter Garden. We enjoyed staying there and meeting some of the staff. I would love to visit them again when we travel back to Florida.

Having a couple of days to fill in prior to heading to the beach, we chose the Edgewater based on the price and the location. The historic community was great, with fun shops and restaurants to visit within a few blocks of the hotel. The Edgewater hotel was charming and historic as advertized. The experince there was acceptable and we would likely stay there again if we were to visit the area. You should not expect luxury accomodations and the breakfast, while made to order, was just OK. The place was not exceptionally clean, but not discusting either. All in all we enjoyed our stay, just keep your expectations realistic for this type of a facility. The staff was very nice and helpful.

My wife and I stayed at the Edgewater Hotel for one night before heading out on our honeymoon. The rooms were immaculately clean, the hotel had a wonderfully historic atmosphere, and the included breakfast was delicious. We found the birds in cages charming, and were blown away by the piano player in the lobby. (Not sure if he was a guest or employee.) There is really only one complaint: With absolutely no exaggeration the water-temperature swung between scalding and ice-cold roughly every 30 seconds. The "hot" and "cold" knobs were more suggestions than controls. To be fair, though, we assumed that this was because the building is older than the vampire LeStat (who may have been roaming the hallways). An extremely accommodating staff and a quaint location rounded out our brief but enjoyable stay. All in all, we would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time. The decor was second to none. Our room was the Honeymoon Sweet which overlooked the city square. We made new friends at the breakfast table which was custom made to our liking. I highly advise anyone who enjoys early 1900's decor and furniture to stay here. The only issue is that the town cock is right outside the B&B and chimes every 15 minutes. So if you want to sleep in, I would not recommend a room towards the front of the building.

Great value stay, and fascinating how much of it is original and restored. Staff are all helpful. We enjoyed most hearing stories from the tour bus driver during breakfast (hotel owned by musicians). We appreciated the flexible serving times for breakfast starting at 7am and simply being able to order a hot breakfast considering many larger bnbs just do continentals. Ice cream shop open late downstairs was also nice to stop at after a day out. I would also have liked to have included the trail and bike shop right outside the door as a plus, but unfortunatly I didn't have time to use it. Next time! The only complaint I would have is that they need to kick out the parked cars from the bar people from the parking lot! A few times we would come to park and had to find a side street because people were illegaly parked in the hotel lot. A hotel member did say that they were probably going to start towing...please do!

We enjoy staying at bed and breakfasts and this one is a winner. The ambience was of a 1930's hotel, but the comfort was fully up to date: wi fi, good showers, comfortable bed, TV in the rooms. We had a great time.

We just stayed on March 27,2010 and were very pleased with the location, staff and accomodations. A really cool place to stay. We had to leave early in the morning and the staff even insured I had fresh coffee at 5:30 am. The Thai restrauant in the same building was very good and even took in a local play just down the street. Would definelely return when back in the area!

We had the most wonderful two day stay at the Edgewater Hotel. You will truly enjoy the area and the hotel in Historic Winter Garden, FL. You may want to suggest this central location in FL to Friends, as we already did!!! Thanks for enjoyable two days and we hope to return soon!!!

It was more than we could have imaged. The rooms are very real to what they would have been in the early 1900s. The town is a great little town. We plan to go back again.

The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and neat. The breakfast was good. Loved the 1920's feel, and the hand operated elevator.

We stayed at Edgewater B&B because we had an event down the street at the Theater. It was the perfect choice! The location was great and in a gorgeous area. The B&B was clean, nice and comfortable. It was also very interesting since everything in the hotel was original. There were great restaurants and bars within walking distance. We partied on the 2nd floor Patio, which was awesome, since we were there with friends. The breakfast was very good and the service was very friendly. I recommend Edgewater B&B 100% and will be staying there again as we will be attending another event in Historic Downtown Winter Garden in October 2009. The only thing I can say that's not 100% positive is, if you are tall, you probably won't fit into the beds. My husband is only 6' tall and he has zero room between the headboard and footboard. Maybe they have rooms with longer beds... but if you are tall, I'd definitely ask. Other than that, STAY THERE!!

The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The facilities were quaint and charming. The Thai restaurant, the French Bakery and other places of interest were coveniently located. A great place for a quiet, homey getaway.

My fiance and I spent Christmas of 06 here We enjoyed the old world charm and atmosphere from the moment we stepped through the doors. There was not the hussle and bussle of downtown Orlando, but it was close enough to enjoy. Now we are planning a return for our honeymoon! I can't wait to visit the ice-cream shop again.
