Had a really great time at Up Up and Away Lodge. The room was set up really nice. We really enjoyed the large tub, the hot tub spa, and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely come back again.
This was the second time we have stayed with Beth and Leif and it was just as good as the first. We had the Hot Tub Suite (again) and loved it ... although the tub was much more usable in December (last time) than June (it was really hot when we were there). Breakfast was amazing bordering on almost too much food. We will definitely be back at some point. One of Herman's best B&Bs as it's not close to the train tracks or the clocktower.
Nancy is a gracious hostess who diligently works to ensure that each guest feels welcome, This B&B is immaculate, quaint and cozy; offering plenty of privacy and relaxation to those in search of the perfect getaway. In addition, Nancy provides a vast assortment of fun places and activities to check out while in the Hermann area. Client focus remains centered on guest satisfaction and relaxation. And Nancy's home-cooked breakfasts are simply fabulous! This is the best B&B in Hermann, MO.
Schiller Guest Suites is a perfect Bed and Breakfast if you are looking for a weekend getaway. The owners are very responsive and take pride in taking care of their guests. The Inn is just off the Main Street and within easy walking distance from all the local restaurants and downtown Hermann attractions.
We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary during our stay and it was the perfect place. We had a relaxing, interesting and comfortable stay. This was the first time we stayed at a B&B. The cottage was perfect. There was enough space I was able to unpack so we did not have to live out of suitcases for the 7 days. The cottage was comfortable, clean, private and had all the comforts of home. Nancy's breakfasts were outstanding from the french toast, egg casserole, blueberry coffee cake and more. The location in town was ideal so we walked to eat most meals and to visit museums and specialty shops. Nancy's suggestions of places to visit and eat were always great. Thanks Linda & Bill
I reserved The Milliner's Bedchamber Cottage at Abigail's Grape Leaf Bed and Breakfast for a 3-night stay. It was one very spacious room with a Victorian Decor. I reserved this cottage because it had a deep claw foot soaking tub. The owner's were very welcoming and accommodating. They refreshed the room daily which is usually unheard of. A delicious dessert would be delivered each day of your stay. I would like to add that the bed was extremely comfortable and I felt refreshed after a good night's sleep. Each morning, you would be served either in your room or on the veranda, a delicious breakfast; my favorite being the french toast made from french bread with cinnamon and caramel accents. They were very helpful in recommending restaurants, wineries, and places of interest. I would highly recommend Abigail's Grape Leaf Bed & Breakfast for your next stay in Hermann, Missouri.
First time at a Bed n Breakfast, first time in Herrmann, definitely NOT the last time! We came to celebrate our 16 year wedding anniversary and had SUCH a great time and The Captain Wohlt Inn was perfect... perfect location, cute room, beautiful outdoor space! When you see "the best breakfast in town" so many times you start wonder; it REALLY IS The BEST Breakfast... not just in town, maybe ever! We'll be back and we'll also make sure that anytime we hear friends and family talk about needing a weekend vacation, Captain Wohlt Inn will be THE referred Getaway! CHEERS MY FRIENDS! ¿¿¿
Loved, Loved, LOVED our stay at the Captain Wohlt Inn B&B this weekend! From the friendly & professional staff, to the homemade cookies every day, delivered fresh to our door. ¿ It was the perfect weekend getaway for my husband & I. Brant (owner) was extremely helpful, and full of knowledge when we showed up with questions about the town of Hermann, & it's wineries. On friday nights, the Captain Wohlt Inn has live Music, relaxing patios, fire pits, smores, hot grilled food and a hammock! Just the relaxation we needed! We will definitely be back, and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Highly recommended!!
As a same sex couple, we were nervous about staying at a B & B in the middle of Missouri. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and there was another same sex couple there at the same time. Would love to go back next time we are road tripping through the midwest. Thanks so much - food was wonderful and 5-star!
We stayed for the Wine Trail event, Bacon and Wine. The Schiller Guest Suites was everything we hoped for and so much more! The room far exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean, and almost had a New Orleans feel which we loved. The one thing we weren't expecting was the egg bake, orange juice, eggs and fresh cinnamon rolls in the refrigerator for breakfast the next morning! All were very delicious! Don't forget to stop by the Bank Bar downstairs for a great drink! We did many times and you will not be disappointed. If we are ever in the Hermann, MO area again we will definitely stay here!
Abigail's was our first B&B experience, and we weren't disappointed! The room we had was the perfect size for the two of us, and we had our own private bathroom, which was a must for us. The innkeepers were super friendly and the food was an especially nice touch. Who doesn't love when food is brought straight to their room? The best part about Abigail's was the location. It is close to a lot of the action, close to the river and within walking distance of several local establishments including Hermanhoff Winery, Tin Mill Brewery, Hermann Wurst Haus and Black Walnut Bistro. We definitely made our rounds while we were in town to check everything out! A great first trip to Hermann for us, and we will be back!
Great experience! The rooms were clean, everything worked well, and the service was excellent. Cathy and Carl were personable and helpful, enhancing the historical significance of the B & B with their stories. We would like to return in the future.
Great stay at Schiller Suites. Rooms were spacious and breakfast quiche was outstanding. Wayne and Connie are great. Couple of notes. If you are staying in the top suite there are two sets of stairs. Also, make sure you read the fine print. No TV. :)
I've stayed here three times now. The owners are friendly and attentive when you want them to be, and leave you your space when you want that. The made-to-order breakfasts are wonderful. The rooms are charming, clean, comfortable, and cozy. Be aware that this is a bit off the beaten path - you need your own car (or better yet motorcycle on these scenic roads).
We had a great weekend celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary in Hermann. The room is huge and spacious and was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the fact that the fridge was stocked with breakfast goodies for us to enjoy, and we did not have to worry about setting a specific time for breakfast so we could snooze and eat when we wanted. This is located right in the middle of downtown which was nice as we could walk everywhere. This was not an issue for us but wanted to side note that this suite is located directly above a very popular (yet classy) bar. We enjoyed a drink before dinner and sat out on the deck awhile before bed, but the bar does not close until 11 pm and the room was very loud until that point. Being an older building there is just no way to sound proof between the bar and the suites. Again, not a problem for us because we didn't go to bed until then anyway, but I could see someone getting upset if they weren't aware and were planning for a quiet early to bed romantic weekend.
Cathy and Carl, the innkeepers are gracious, professional hosts who don't miss a detail. The rooms are amazing, but it is truly the innkeepers hospitality that make this place so true to its outstanding reputation. We made a special trek for Valentine's Day and it was a beautiful getaway!
I recently enjoyed a weekend with my best friend and we booked the Girlfriend Getaway! It was amazing! The services used for the pedicure and massage, were top notch! The food was amazing! Cathy and Carl were great company and gave perfect recommendations for sight seeing and eating based on what we were looking for! Highly recommend!!
We stayed in the cottage portion of the B&B for our wedding anniversary. It was a cozy and relaxing place to be! The cottage has two main areas - a bedroom with a really nice fireplace, and a sitting area with a couch. The sitting area has a coffeepot to keep you warm, and a refrigerator to keep your wine and leftovers cold. The front of the cottage has a large table, perfect for eating our morning breakfast (which we thoroughly enjoyed). Even though it was chilly outside, we found most destinations in the town within walking distance. Nancy was very hospitable, and had great suggestions regarding where to go in Hermann. We would visit this B&B again.
