  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour,divided
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 very ripe bananas
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar


  1. In a bowl,beat eggs & milk with mixer. Gradually beat in 1/2 cup of flour. Beat in lemon juice. Add remaining 1/2 cup of flour & baking powder, Beat just until blended.
  2. HEAT OIL IN SKILLETOVER MEDIUM HEAT. Slice each banana crosswise into 3 equal pieces. Slice each piece in half lengthwise. With a fork, dip 3 Banana slices at a time egg into mixture, coating thoroughly.
  3. Gently transfer each banana piece to skillet. Cook just until golden brown on each side. Remove cooked banana slices to paper towls to drain, then quickly transfer to a warm plate. Dust entire plate with powder sugar & serve
