We have stayed at The Captain Tom Lawrence Inn twice now, during visits to friends we have in the area. And we will do the same in the future, as this is a wonderful B&B! If you can pretend away the modern conveniences, you’ll feel like you’re living in 1850’s Cape Cod, as the furnishings and layout of the house have a really authentic feel. But all the modern creature comforts are there too. We’ve stayed in both the Parlor Room and the Anaconda Room and loved both. The beds were great, the furnishings beautiful, and the inn’s atmosphere mellow and unhurried. We love kicking back in the parlor/dining area on the first floor with a good book. Hosts Jim and Anne are delightful; never in your face but always ready and willing to answer any questions you might have about the area. Falmouth is often passed by as people whiz off to the Nat’l Seashore, but it has become our favorite town on the cape. The Inn is a short (and pleasant!) walk from town, which is a great place to linger and soak up the ambience. There's great shopping and restaurants, but without the backed-up traffic, the noise, and frenetic pace that some of the Cape towns seem to have during peak season. If you find yourself in this corner of the Cape, book at the Captain Tom Lawrence. Like us, you’ll want to come back again.

Jim and Anne were the perfect hosts. Very helpful with places to visit and the breakfasts were fantastic. The house was very clean and welcoming and only a few minutes walk from the main street of Falmouth with plenty of restuarants and shops etc. Would thoroughly recommend Captain Lawrence House.

The inn is lovely and a great location but, I was disappointed in my room - very small with a bathroom that you could barely stand in. The innkeepers were not around except for breakfast.

A lovely B&B with wonderful hosts who provided lots of great information and delicious breakfasts and snacks. The rooms were a good enough size and we really enjoyed our stay.

Anne and Jim were very accommodating of our late arrival and were extremely gracious and hospitable hosts. The room was spotless and very comfortable and the inn was very pleasantly air conditioned on a very hot day. All in all an impeccable stay.

This comfortable corner room features hard wood floors, craftsman furniture, and a king bed. It includes an en suite bathroom with hairdryer and free toiletries. Our room also features a flat screen tv, chest of drawers and comfort soft linens. It is named after the second whaling ship that Captain Lawrence mastered from 1848-1852
High ceilings and a high top four post bed helps maintain the open space ideal of this room with craftsman furniture. This spacious ground floor room offers hard wood floors, air conditioning, a cable TV, and a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. It has a petite bathroom, but makes up for it with tree coverage in the summer and two windows to let in the natural light.
Hardwood floors throughout, this sunny room has two plush four post queen beds, great for friends traveling to the area. Full dresser and with flat screen TV and en suite bath with shower, this is a maximized space with 3 windows to let in the natural light of morning
This Upper floor Queen room has three windows for natural sunlight to give the room a light and airy feeling. With en-suite shower bathroom, full dresser, reading chair and the additional privacy of being at the rear of the house, a quiet night of restful relaxation awaits.
Hard wood floors in our main floor king room; has the best natural night with 3 windows. There is a shower and bath en suite, maximizing the space. This room features a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. We recommend a wake up call, as the bed invites such restful sleep you may miss your alarm.
This cozy room exudes tasteful elegance and comfort. Hardwood floored, with king sized back bed, craftsman dressers and in room pedestal sink, this a frequent request of business travelers in the area. The flatscreen tv is wall mounted to maximize the space. This room has a small bathroom. Named after the 'Anaconda' - the first whaling ship captained by young Tom Lawrence, from 1852 to 1856.
Our largest stay space, this apartment features both a queen sized bed plus two twin beds, and a trundle bed for a child. A great fit for a multi-person group. It features a stove-top, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Please note, this apartment does not include breakfast.
