My wife and I stayed at the B&B while attending a Christmas Party lady Saturday. The owner, Bob was very friendly and accommodating. His staff was also very pleasant and efficient. The Inn is very clean and nicely decorated. When we called for our accommodation the only room left was the snug room. It was snug but ver quint and very comfortable. All in all our stay was very pleasant. We would recommend the Inn

My husband and I stayed during the Winterfest celebration. The house is gorgeous and has a rich history. The room was comfortable and beautifully appointed. And breakfast, of course, was delicious! We will definitely be back!

My sons and I stayed here during our visit to St. Andrew's School. We had the entire third floor, a fabulous suite, to ourselves. We enjoyed the coziness of the old world decor combined with the convenience and technology of modern day - a kitchenette, updated bath fixture, and two tvs with cable. They boys had their space, and I had mine! In the morning, Bob served us a fabulous warm two-course breakfast (banana bread, pumpkin pancakes, bacon, juice and more! We'll be back!

This was my second time staying at the Inn at the Canal. I had a room looking out on the Canal. The fall foliage was beautiful. Local shopping right on the street. Only 10 minutes to Northeast or Elkton for more shopping or historic sites. We didn'the have a chance to do the C&Device canal boat ride, but have it on the agenda for next year. The breakfasts were great and Bob made our visit everything we wanted! Worth the drive for the experience.

The Inn at the Canal was quaint and definitely exceeded my expectations. The owner was very welcoming and provided lots of historical facts about the cabal and the town which enhanced our stay. We were pleasantly surprised at how friendly and inviting the whole town was. We will return for future trips in the coming years.

We had a lovely, relaxing time at the Inn at the Canal. Bob met us at the door, gave us a quick tour, a brief history of the house and showed us to our rooms. Such a beautiful house, full of antiques and period furnishings. Service was excellent and breakfast, divine! We took a 2 hour cruise on the canal and saw bald eagles, my first sighting in the wild! We will be back to stay at the Inn!

This was my second year stay at the Inn on the Canal. The old house is very welcoming, as is Bob, the owner and breakfast cook. The breakfasts were so filling that my friend and I skipped lunch and just had a cup of tea and biscotti late on our return from shopping. The Inn is close to shopping in the small town and only a short hop to Northeast or Elkton Maryland. A quiet little jem, tucked away for us to enjoy for a little peace and quiet!

I surprised my girlfriend of almost 14 years of putting up with me.She didn't want anything so I decided to treat her to a night alone just her and I with out my children(not by her) and it was a homerun. Bob the chef made her favorite pancakes and they were awesome. Sam the hostess was sweet and accommodating. we walked the town and sat by the water and enjoyed our time together. Bob put champagne and his chocolate covered bark in the room upon arrival at my request and well the rest was amazing.

I needed a place to stay for a couple nights related to a family wedding; the Inn was a perfect combination of comfortably relaxing and attention to detail. The public rooms were historically and usefully decorated. The breakfasts were amazing; several guests joined together at tables, by choice, to dine. We had met at various times the preceding days reading in the lounge, completing a puzzle, or sitting on the porch. I look forward to a return trip to Chesapeake City and touring the broader Brandywine Valley.
