On Martha and Toms Farm you can milk the cows, watch them make cheese, breath the farm air all while staying in a large hay loft room with private baths, sleep harmony beds, and eat a good old fashion farm breakfast! Let the farm animals greet you while you take a step back in time in our Historic farmstead featuring restored 1857 barns and 1867 Limestone German House. I grew up in the area near the B&B, but have lived in CO for 25+ years. When going home for weddings, reunions, etc, it has been difficult to find comfortable lodging. Not any more! Last weekend when home for a wedding, my husband and I, 2 nieces and their husbands, and their 4 children- ages 6-15- stayed at the Brinkman Farmstead B&B. ALL LOVED it! Upon leaving, I asked our group to name their favorite things about staying there. The responses: bottle feeding the baby calves; comfy beds; yummy breakfasts- especially egg & cheese dishes, locally made sausage, and fresh-from-the-oven english muffins; watching the milking process up close; the huge pig; Netflix; amazing cheese; cool bathrooms/showers; soothing homemade soaps; view out window of Belgian horse running in the pasture; hay fork chandelier and milk bottle light; fuzzy blankies; the big bunny; decor and pictures; book of history of the area. In addition, Martha, Tom, and Ben were kind, accommodating, and interesting to talk with- very knowledgeable and fun. We also enjoyed meeting their neighbors, Cindy and Rick, who help with milking and chores. Each contributed to our thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you! It was agreed that from now on, when we go back home, the Brinkman Farmstead B&B will be our home.

Out in the middle of nowhere is the perfect spot for this non-traditional B&B. Milking cows, feeding calves and petting Petunia the pig we exciting to say the least. In the heart of wine country, this was the perfect (and I do mean perfect) departure from the normalcy of ho-hum B&B's. The Brinkmans' story is unique and engaging. The B&B is remarkable as it is in the loft of a working barn. and has the rustic charm you would expect of a barn. The bed was outstandingly comfortable and theraputic. The only down side to the stay was the bathroom. The floor in the shower was made with bag concrete and is sharp on tender feet. Additionally the water pressure and temperature were less than expected (albiet European in design) and not standard U.S.A. plumbing. We enjoyed our stay a great deal and would certainly return.
