This was our second stay and enjoyed it as much as the first. Jeanna is the consummate host. She is familiar with the area and the sites to visit. The accommodations are unique and clean, the breakfast and chocolate chip cookies are terrific. My wife and I recommend this B&B to all staying in the area. Thanks Jeanna!

This was our first B&B experience and it was everything we wanted and more. Jeanna made us feel very comfortable right away. The home had a very rustic charm to it. Her breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be making a return trip some day.

My family needed a place to gather for Thanksgiving this year, and Whispering Pines was the perfect solution for us. Every room was tastefully decorated for Christmas and the tree was beautiful. There was room for four different families to spread out: and for each member to have space for his/her own activity. It was the first Thanksgiving in my memory that everyone (13 people) were able to fit around one table and take part in the same conversation.. The kids were not anxious to get up and run off because they were included. I look forward to my next visit!

I stayed for a 2 night stay while in town for business. It was my first time at a B and B, and had no idea what to expect. It was a very nice experience. The service was great, food was exceptional and the accomodations were comfortable and relaxing.

We stayed in a barn! The rustic decor made the barn so comfortable. We had peach enchiladas for breakfast and they were wonderful. We will go back!

We rented the whole house for an extended family get together and had the best time!! The grounds are beautiful and our 5 young grand kids had a great time outside as did the adults. We especially enjoyed the wraparound porch where we ended up eating all of our meals. Jeanna was very accommodating! Definitely would return!!

We had planned on staying only one night at Whispering Pines, but we liked it so much we decided to spend a second night there. We stayed in two different rooms (Traveler's and the Barn), so we had a taste of two totally different accommodations. We enjoyed both very much! Jeanna was quite helpful in answering our questions about the area and giving us ideas of places to visit and things to do. We loved the spacious grounds, lovely trees, and the proximity of Whispering Pines to places of interest in the area. It is a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. I felt pampered and comfortable there.
Just recently updated in Winter 2011, the Arbor, decorated in rich tones, brings in the local Nebraska City Arbor themes of trees, apples and wines. The extra large space also provides a daybed for hanging out (or as an extra bed), a desk, and 27” flat screen TV connected to cable. They both add a little character to the room and better yet, are holding up this old house. An electric fireplace provides extra heat or just ambiance.
Victoria’s is a very secluded and cozy room with a private entrance into the home just off the deck. The Traveler's Room is an extra large room with a King size bed and a private bath with shower. The sink is made from an old gentleman’s chest.
