When we arrived our hostess was waiting for us. She checked us in and showed us around. At breakfast we she served a fantstic meal. While we ate, we talked about what we wanted to do while we were in Virginia City. We asked our hostess for things to see and do and she made a few reccomendations. While we sat there she gave us a little history of the city, places to go things to see and where the goasts were. Aperantly there is a little girl goast in a blue dress that shows up every once in a while. As we explored the town we constantly kept an eye out for the little girl in the blue dress. We had a geat time thanks to our host. We look forward to visiting Virginia City again and staying at Eidth Palmer's Country Inn.

Great place to spend a couple of nights. Leisa keep us entertained during our gourmet breakfast with information on the town of Virgina City. The B&B was located in a perfect spot with great views from our windows(James Flood Room), at the end of the street and very quiet. The rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. This was our first stay at a B&B we will be sure to visit this B&B again and will try out some others due to our experience at Edith palmer's Country Inn.

Virginia City was a stop along the way for me and my girlfriend on our road trip. We didn't want to stay in Reno or Sparks. Edith Palmer's was probably our favorite part of the whole town. The innkeeper, Leisa, made sure we were well fed and well informed when we had questions about the area. Wonderful B&B.

We didn't know what to expect, so when we pulled up it was dark and eclectic. The room was very quaint and cozy. No phone was great. We had a great stay, loved it and Leisa the proprietor was wonderful. She even made us breakfast and gave us a tour! We'll come again!

I never felt so taken care of at a hotel or inn! Breakfast was amazing, the rooms were beautiful. All in all, it was a terrific place to go to get away from it all!

Talking with innkeepers, Pat and Leisa, was certainly a pleasure. Our stay provided fond memories that we will always treasure.
The famous "One Hundred Mile View" down 6-mile canyon to the Carson Plains and beyond can be seen from the east facing windows in this upstairs room. Scenes in the MISFITS movie were filmed on the the Carson Plains. Guests always mention the "wow" factor of the glorious sunrises viewed from this room. This room is furnished with a queen-sized brass bed and antique dressers. It has a private bath with a tub/shower. There is a small flat screen TV with a remote which can be watched from the bed as well as the chairs in the room.
: $159 - $159
While filming the MISFITS in nearby Dayton, Marilyn Monroe stayed in this room. A chauffeur would pick her up in the morning and drive her to the set. He would return her each evening to the Inn. Sunbeams stream throughout this upstairs room in the afternoon. It has a queen bed and a hide-a-way twin bed can be used for a third person, an extra person charge applies if used. The private bathroom has a shower.
: $169 - $169
South facing windows in this upstairs room overlook the historic Fourth Ward School below on C Street with the Pine Nut Mountains in the background. One of the most private rooms at the Inn, it is owner Pat's favorite. It has a queen four poster bed and a private bath with a tub/shower.
: $159 - $159
This downstairs room is named for Pat's grandmother and is distinguished by a bay window which overlooks the courtyard. It has a queen bed and the private bathroom has a bathtub/shower.
: $149 - $149
Evelyn's room is named after Leisa's mother. This is our smallest room, but guests describe it as very comfortable and cozy. You enter the room through a private entrance on the courtyard. It has a queen bed and the bathroom has a bathtub/shower.
: $129 - $129
The Jim Fair room has both west and south facing windows allowing views of the fruit trees to the rear of the building and overlooking the garden seating area to the south. It is downstairs and to the rear of the house. Guests who have stayed in this room request it again and again. It has a queen bed and a private bath with tub/shower.
: $139 - $139
Edith's room is the original upstairs Master Suite for this 1863 residence and one of the most requested rooms. It remains true to its beginnings with the original doors and door trim, and windows with little bubbles in the glass of the panes that have survived without having to be replaced. The morning sun will gently greet you. The queen bed is an antique iron and brass bed that has been in Virginia City for well over a century. The bathroom is of generous size and has a bathtub/shower.
: $169 - $169
The James Flood room is the Inn's largest downstairs room and the only room with the canyon view without having to climb stairs. It has a queen bed and a private bath with a tub/shower. Guests request this room over and over after staying once.
: $149 - $149

Our own recipe for the best pancakes we have ever tasted with a raspberry sauce and raspberry-walnut butter. Our guests agree that these are well worth getting up in the morning to enjoy along with an incredible cup of coffee, or choice from our extensive selection of teas (blacks, greens, and herbals) and choice of juice.
