Last weekend my wife and I experience our first visit to a B and B. We work full time, have stressful lives and needed a weekend getaway. After researching B and B locations in the Hudson Valley, I came across La Bel Worstell B and B and am so glad that I did. The photos looked amazing and the location was close to home. After speaking with Karen, the proprietor, I decided to book one of their beautiful suites. Friday night we packed a picnic basket, champagne and ventured off to Ft. Montgomery. The home was incredible. The photos didn’t do the place justice. The host and hostess were very warm and charming people and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to the time that we left. The Suite we stayed in was like that of a fairy tale. Beautifully appointed artwork all over the house, well decorated and very tasteful in every way. Ed showed great pleasure and pride as he prepared exquisite meals to start our day. Karen was interesting, tireless and enjoyed their true labor of love in running the B and B. They were a gracious couple and it was an honor to meet them. I would recommend this Band B to anyone looking for a perfect get away or a family looking for a retreat equipped with pool, hiking, game room, home theater and 50’s style nibbles and bits diner. Their creativity was over the top and my wife and I look forward to returning to this little bit of paradise. Thanks again Karen and Edward.

What a great find! my girlfriend and I decided to book a last minute weekend getaway. coming from Long Island and having limited time to book a place and travel there we found la bel Worstell. the home is beautiful, the room we stayed in was gorgeous and the overall experience was amazing. Being in finance and having stress all week long all we wanted to have was a peaceful weekend and that's exactly what we got.....quiet area, great views, plenty to do in the area and most importantly a wonderful, relaxing time! Karen and Ed were wonderful and gracious hosts and excellent cooks! plus they recommended a few activities in the area which we did and could not be happier with the overall experience. I would recommend la bel Worstell to anyone and everyone....we are DEFINITELY going back to visit again soon!!!

What a find! My better half and I stayed here after we couldn't get into the Thayer for my 20th reunion. Karen and Ed were great and very hospital. Beautiful rooms and grounds which are immaculately kept. Breakfast was also outstanding! This is great deal for both amenities and location.

My wife and another couple found this B&B to be superb. I personally enjoyed the rooms, hospitality, view of the Hudson, and proximity to reunion activities. I would recommend this to anyone, and will stay there again on my next visit.

My fiance and I just got back from a 2 night stay at la bel to celebrate our engagement. We found it through a random google search and didn't know what to expect since this was our first time staying at a B&B. It had a homey feel - Karen and Edward are so warm and welcoming. We stayed in Serengetti and would recommend it to anyone. The decor of the house is incredible. We were obsessed with the game room, played lots of card, ping pong, swam, sauna. It's so close to Bear Mountain and we did a hike there too. AND THE FOOD.... their cooking was incredible. They catered to all sorts of different restrictions for guests, vegan, gluten free, egg allergy, etc, which was great for me since i'm a pescatarian. We couldn't have imagined a better stay and will for sure be going back!

I've had the privilege of staying twice this summer at la bel Worstell B & B and this place is by far the best kept secret in the Hudson Valley. Only a few minutes from Bear Mtn, West Point and Cold Spring you can't go wrong. Luxury rooms, very clean, more on site amenities than you can think of and the views are incredible. The Hosts are wonderful and put out an amazing breakfast. You will certainly enjoy your stay here, this place is a gem. We'll be back soon.

This is not your average B&B. This is a beautiful mansion, built around 2010, which has magnificent views of the Hudson river, its own tennis court, movie theatre, game room, sauna, gym, and a small, but lovely swimming pool. No expense was spared when it was built, starting with marble/granite floors and bathrooms, to lavishly furnished bedrooms, fit for a prince. The grounds are stunning. During our three-day stay, Karen, the owner, treated us like family. Staying at this B&B is an unforgettable experience, not just a nice place where you sleep and then have breakfast in the morning.

The property is gorgeous and has picturesque views of the river. The pictures online don't do the home justice. So many great amenities didn't have time to use any of them. Can't wait to come back. Robert was a gracious host. He was so helpful recommending a delicious and fun restaurant in Peekskill. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very clean and cozy. Beds were comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights and everything was wonderful. Bob is a great host and he's also an excellent cook! The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms are amazing. We stayed in the Serengeti room - it was beautifully decorated and the view from the room was amazing. The house has lots of amenities and we used as much as we could. The game room in the basement was really fun after a great night out. The backyard hiking set up is truly a journey. Overall I would highly recommend staying here and will def be back!

My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway after our recent wedding and were received so warmly by Robert into his home. Robert is a splendid host and prepared remarkable breakfasts for the two mornings we were there. The mansion itself is so tastefully decorated and filled with warmth. It is equipped with a gym, sauna, movie theater, small in-house diner, tennis court, and even a set of short trails behind the house. The view itself from the house is stunning, and it was so nice to wake up to the peaceful sunrise each morning.
Fit for royalty, you're sure to be a "Prince" in the eyes of your lady. Over 900 square feet with a four-poster bed, fireplace, sitting room with a picture window overlooking the Hudson River, writing desk, and unequalled sun-and-moon rises breaking over the mountains to the East. The two-person tub is a magnificent overflow Kohler. The EN SUITE red onyx marble bath spa has 14K gold-finished fixtures throughout, steam shower with bench, double sinks and mirrors and vanity desk for make-up sessions. The commode and bidet with another sink are in a separate enclosed section of the bath. Your own private entrance through the double, solid mahogany doors lead to either the pool, hiking trails and parking. One night $475; two nights @ $325; three or more nights @ $290 plus taxes.
Kawkawlin, from the Chippewa Indian language, means " river leading to big lake" that leads to Lake Huron in Michigan. Wake up early to watch the sun rise over the mountains and tall pines through the large transom window right from your queen bed. The decor is an eclectic array of browns, blacks and earth-tones. The EN SUITE bathroom is decorated with the unique beauty of black, brown, and white-hued marble. There is a large walk-in rain-head shower and separate over-sized tub below another large transom window where you may soak and relax. One night $325; two nights @ $255; three or more nights @ $225 plus taxes.
Black and white dominate, reminiscent of the SOHO district in Manhattan and the film industry. Choose either the pillow-top king bed or two twins for your sleeping pleasure. If you must, bring your work with you and sit at the comfortable, large glass table...when you need a momentary break, gaze out the window to the river and trees, some over two-hundred years old. EN SUITE bathroom with contemporary shower in black marble and bright chrome plated brass fixtures. One night $290; two nights @ $225; three or more nights @ $199 plus taxes.
The Aberdeen Studio on the very private mezzanine level flaunts an old Scottish decor with a vaulted ceiling, sky light and medieval and ancestry art. The king bed may be moved back to transform into a sitting room for the daytime. The white marble EN SUITE bath with a shower continues the Scottish theme with plaid towels and robes. There are in-room cooking facilities with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and sink, bar and stools. One night $220; two nights @ $180; three nights or more @ $160 plus taxes.
Aptly named, "The Louvre" features Old World Masters art and statuary. The curio cabinet houses a worldwide collection. Your pillow-topped queen bed is the perfect place from which to ponder the artists' inspiration, then compare that to the illustrated art history books in your night stand. The view from the large sunburst transom window is of the rose garden in the cour d'honneur and the Roman Pergola and statuary atop rocky "Golgatha." Your PRIVATE BATH with a claw foot copper tub is adjacent (not en suite, but private); the fireplace parlour is next to you with doors opening to the veranda for lounging and views of the pool and the Hudson River. One night $240; two nights @ $195; three or more nights @ $175 plus taxes.
This two- bedroom suite is ideal for two couples who want to get two suites for the price of one large suite. BR 1, Serengeti, features Kenya and Tanzania art and artifacts with a four-poster king canopy bed. BR 2, o'Sashiburi, has a queen bed with Japanese and Chinese art and artifacts. The black and white marble bath between the two suites(private, not en suite) has two sinks and a tub with a shower. One night $475, two nights @ $325, three or more nights @ $290 plus taxes.
Queen bed. En suite bath with shower. Sauna. Entertainment level. Private entrance leads to the heated pool, grounds and trails.. Mexican Grand Canyon decor. Marble topped tables. Sitting area. TV. Add taxes to rates: @ $290 one night; @ $225 two nights; @ $199 three or more nights. (Photos to be added soon.)
