LeAn and Charles go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and special. The breakfast is delicious, and it is great sitting around the big table sharing experiences with the other guests.
Our stay at this wonderful B and B was to celebrate our first anniversary....the service/Innkeeper was outstanding...she was very gracious, warm and kind. Loved the French accent. This was my first stay at a Bed & Breakfast , Adobe and Stars sets the bar high. The views from our room, La Luna, were amazing..we got up past midnight to watch a meteor shower and we were lucky enough to see them along with a beautiful clear fall night sky. We look forward to visiting Taos again and will definitely stay here.
Yolanda is a fabulous hostess. Her breakfasts are tasty and inspired and she arranges the eating area so guests can effortlessly socialize. The inn is large and sprawling in a quiet area near town. Large, comfortable, quiet and cozy rooms. We love it. Plus Yolanda knows Taos and can give advice on any recreation, shopping or cultural opportunity in the area.
Fabulous friendly owners and workers. Shared restaurant information and music venues. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was to die for delicious! Second time to American Artists B&B. Won't be our last! Thank you for a wonderful visit!¿¿¿¿¿¿
We had a wonderful weekend at this charming B&B. It was very clean and the owner was so warm and welcoming. A very quiet and private location but close enough to all the activities in Taos. We loved our time here!
It was an Awesome stay! We really enjoyed Yolanda's Hospitality. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was such a "Homely" feeling. The House, the yard was Beautiful! We will definitely be back. Alma & Sonny from Amarillo, Tx
My husband and I recently celebrated our 32nd anniversary at Taos Country Inn. It was fabulous! We loved the peace and quiet, the lovely grounds, the beautiful rooms, and...Yolanda. Although it is far away from noise and stress, it remains only about 5 minutes driving time or less away from the main plaza in Taos. The rooms are as beautiful as they are depicted on the website. The flowers and trees on the site are appealing and lovingly maintained. We will be back.
A prefect time and location, close to the heart of Taos but on a quiet country road. Owner knows the area well and gave good recommendations for dinner and museums. Will definitely recommend this spot to anyone planning to visit this area.
Our host LeAn was welcoming and helpful with evening plans. And she cooked up a memorable breakfast which we enjoyed while chatting with her about cats, peacocks, and all things Taos. The room was comfortable Southwest and having a fireplace with real wood was a special treat. I'd definitely return to American Artists Gallery House on my next stay in Taos.
If you want to be among the scenery and stars, enjoy a room, fireplace or near a little village, look no further than Adobe & Stars. The breakfast is the highlight of this place with Corrinne giving hospitable and French touches to each breakfast each morning. We were slow to leave but want to come back again.
The Inn was lovely, inside and out and decorated beautifully for Christmas. Every room was clean and delightful to include the living room and dining room. The Inn was easy to find and once there we had easy access to our room which was large and well-appointed and also very clean. Yolanda, the owner, made our stay special and treated us like old friends. She was delightful and funny and very helpful in recommending good restaurants and even the best slopes for skiing. Altogether it was a wonderful place to stay and we will go back again.
This is a very nice, well worth the price, off the beaten path, out of the way B&B. Having stayed at three other B&B's in Taos over the years, we have found a place we will definitely be returning to. The breakfast is excellent!
I found this inn to be totally misrepresented. According to the website, it has beautiful views from the windows and patio. The site photographs must be very old because this inn is very old and it looks it. The linens were clean and there was the appearance of it being cleaned, but the room and bathroom are outdated and dingy. We arrived late and the door to the suite was left open with the lights on. We were not aware there was no air conditioning. We assumed for the price of the room, it would be. When we tried to open the window, we realized that the window was off the hinge and would not operate properly. The screen had a hole in it. The curtain was torn and there were tiny bugs everywhere on the sink and a large flying bug when I was in the bathroom. I did not sleep well. In the morning I looked out of the so-called patio with a great view and saw an old stone patio with grass growing up through it and a view of overgrown plants and grass. I would never have sat on that patio. This room and bathroom were old and the bedspread was faded. When we went to breakfast, there were small bugs landing on the dish of fruit with no cover at all. I ate very little of the breakfast which was just ok, not gourmet and we left. The owner did not hold us to the second night. She was not happy with us though. When my husband mentioned the bugs, all that she said was that we were in the country. I was just elated to get out of there. We stayed at a lovely lodge located int he center of town with a great big modern room, breakfast and beautiful grounds with flowers. I would never recommend the Taos Country Inn to anyone.
It's taken me some time to get around to writing this review, but doing so was always on my mind because I want people to know that this is a great place to stay. I love the mountains, and my wife and I made several trips into the ski basin last fall because this B&B is perfectly located. We loved the innkeeper. She was helpful and friendly, and even loaned my wife a rain jacket for an uncertain fall forecast. The breakfast is great. The rooms are very nice, and the location is awesome. I am a hiker and a nature lover and my wife wanted to see downtown Taos. This B&B did not disappoint. It is convenient to many wonderful hikes as well as downtown Taos and Arroyo Seco. New Mexico lovers need to check out the Adobe and Stars!
Adobe and Stars exceeded all expectations of even the excellent reviews in Austin paper. Fireplace in room, robes, beautiful garden, hummingbirds galore and stunning mountain views and sunsets. Best breakfasts ever matched by true hospitality. A very special place.
