Taos is our favorite place for Christmas. After the bon fires and ceremony at Taos Pueblo on Christmas Eve, Rochelle had delicious meal prepared. Her breakfasts were fantastic. We could not have had a better stay anywhere in Taos.
We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The room was quaint and meticulously clean and the breakfast was wonderful. Prudy and John were gracious and helpful and we highly recommend this place.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Dreamcatcher. It provided all that we needed and was very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and our British idiosyncrasy of putting warm milk in our coffee was remembered each morning by John after our initial request. It was an easy walk into Taos and to Bella's, recommended by Trudy, where we enjoyed two evenings having found the food so good the first time. We would love to return.
No excuse to not stay at the Dreamcatcher B& B when you are in Taos! All of the emenities are top-notch and the icing on the cake is Jake, the welcome dog! Wonderful hosts, outstanding breakfast and good conversations. Dining onsite is just breakfast but they provide an extensive list of menus of area restaurants for any other time of the day.
This was our first stay at Dreamcatcher B&B but one of many visits to Taos. We have stayed in very nice B&Bs there, but will return to Dreamcatcher again. I have food allergies and the breakfast accommodated them beautifully-something which is rarely achieved but greatly appreciated. We slept so well on the mattress that we bought one just like it as soon as we returned home. Staff friendly, unobtrusive and efficient.
My wife and I stayed a couple of nights in the Gecko's Garden room shortly after Christmas. The room was very nice and comfortable and the Inn was conveniently located. Breakfasts were delicious. We recommend this Inn to Taos travelers.
If you want to be among the scenery and stars, enjoy a room, fireplace or near a little village, look no further than Adobe & Stars. The breakfast is the highlight of this place with Corrinne giving hospitable and French touches to each breakfast each morning. We were slow to leave but want to come back again.
My wife and I stayed at Dreamcatchers in November 2015. Our hosts were wonderful even before we arrived. John provided excellent advice on getting to the Inn from Santa Fe and even though we arrived at night we did not get lost! Our room was wonderful and cozy and the wood burning fireplace was great on a cold night with snow outside on the ground. Recommendations for places to eat were excellent and we ate at Lambert's two nights in a row for outstanding gourmet meals with excellent wines. Breakfasts were wonderful and fun given the mix of interesting guests at the table. Certainly, this is where we hope to stay next time we come to Taos!
John and Prudy have created quite an oasis--within walking distance to town square yet far enough to maintain that quiet, rustic feel. Wealth of knowledge made planning our time there a breeze; we didn't feel like we wasted a minute. Scrumptious breakfasts, catering to guest needs and food sensitivities. Looking forward to a return trip!
This was our first ever BnB and we were very pleased with our experience. The Dreamcatcher is a great location in Taos. The hosts were very nice people, professional and easy to deal with.
It's taken me some time to get around to writing this review, but doing so was always on my mind because I want people to know that this is a great place to stay. I love the mountains, and my wife and I made several trips into the ski basin last fall because this B&B is perfectly located. We loved the innkeeper. She was helpful and friendly, and even loaned my wife a rain jacket for an uncertain fall forecast. The breakfast is great. The rooms are very nice, and the location is awesome. I am a hiker and a nature lover and my wife wanted to see downtown Taos. This B&B did not disappoint. It is convenient to many wonderful hikes as well as downtown Taos and Arroyo Seco. New Mexico lovers need to check out the Adobe and Stars!
Adobe and Stars exceeded all expectations of even the excellent reviews in Austin paper. Fireplace in room, robes, beautiful garden, hummingbirds galore and stunning mountain views and sunsets. Best breakfasts ever matched by true hospitality. A very special place.
We booked this B&B on very short notice. The hosts were understanding and left a key out for us as we were arriving quite late. The room (fetish bear room) was clean, the fireplace was cozy, bathroom clean and well stocked. The bed was a normal size queen but the frame was a hand carved piece with a foot board. My boyfriend is 6'4'' and this caused some discomfort for him. I slept like a baby. Breakfast was two courses and outstanding. I will stay again in a heart beat but will choose a different room. The grounds were beautiful and the doggie was so sweet that I wanted to put him in my suitcase and take him home. Stop your search and book this one now. :)
This little gem hidden in the winding roads west of the famed Taos Plaza, is a quiet, cozy, clean, and relaxed place to stay. The added sparkle was a real live breakfast (with eggs, protein), gluten free choices, fruit, and yummy oatmeal brûlée created and served by the very interesting and creative owners, John and Prudy. They are like your family who wants to make sure you are warm, fed, and attended to, but unlike family they disappear so you feel the luxury of private space. The beds are super comfy, the linens high quality, and the feel is definitely Taos. I also like the small number of rooms/people so it's really quiet. Didn't hear anyone ever. Expect tiny tv, medium quality bathrooms, and smallish but cozy rooms.
Great setting and location near Arroyo Seco. Usually you have to compromise on quality when seeking a dog friendly place, but not this time. Breakfasts were great. Friendly staff. Nice room. Also a nice thing for non-dog people is that pets are not roaming inside the main residence, but allowed in your room, or on leash with you outside. Great week we really enjoyed our stay.
We loved our stay in the Gecko Garden Casita. The setting is beautiful and the hosts Prudy and John exceptional. Breakfast was delicious and very attractively presented. Selections change on a daily basis.....A truly wonderful weekend! Irv and Kathy Buck
Stayed here in mid July. Enjoyed the innkeepers and Jake their mascot (friendly pooch). The room was inviting, the breakfasts were tasty, and the afternoon cookies kept hunger at bay. We enjoyed the closeness to Taos - we walked there each day. So convenient. Thanks for a memorable stay D.H.
Since I tend to get hot easy, the lack of an air conditioner or a swamp cooler was a mild negative for me (the ceiling fan was decent but not adequate - for us), but otherwise loved the room and our stay. Did not have breakfast there during our stay and since I was forced to give a rating, I gave a 5. But I did not eat there.
Quiet and close to the central Taos plaza, the Dreamcatcher offers both rural charm and city amenities. We enjoyed the easy walks to town and convenience to attractions. Prudie and John are well versed in local and regional attractions and provide good advise. Breakfasts are delicious and start the day off fine with amiable conversation among other guests. Homemade cookies are available for late-night snack raids. The Gecko room was more than enough space to spread out and rest comfortably at the end of a long day of two artists painting and sightseeing.
Prudy and John were absolutely wonderful hosts. I was on a business trip but enjoyed Taos through the recommendations of Prudy and John. When I return to Taos, I will definitely stat at the Dreamcatcher!
