If you seek at least four of the above-captioned experiences, far from the maddening crowd but close to the yesteryear Lynchburg "Walking" Town Square and the world's only Jack Daniels' distillery, the Ledford Mill B &B is for you. The only drawback is that you can't stay there indefinitely -- you must, after one or more nights, make a graceful exit back to the not so tranquil world where there is no nearby waterfall or scrumptious home-cooked breakfast. But one can always return.

Absolutely the most wonderful anniversary weekend. We cannot wait to come back, nor can Truman! Truman has mopped around the house ever since..."Aunt Mildred makes me bacon and eggs, Aunt Mildred makes me sausage and eggs, Aunt Mildred makes me gingerbread pancakes, etc.....Our Love to you two AND Miss Snickers.

We found this place by accident "googling" middle Tennessee B&Bs and booked a room not knowing what to expect. Found a treasure hidden in the back woods. Rustic but beautiful, quiet, private. Beautiful waterfalls 100 feet up stream - truly is an old mill. Some of the equipment is still there - just not working. John and Mildred (innkeepers) are lovely people and she cooks a great breakfast. We already have return reservations and I'm guessing this will be a regular spot for us.

First I would like to thank John and Mildred for the hospitality and the kindness they have showed my husband and I. Staying over at the Ledford Mill Bed and Breakfast was the best part of our vacation. I cannot say the nice things about the place. It was beautiful, clean, and it felt like you where at home. The room was perfect. The waterfall was the icing on the cake. It takes your breath away to see how beautiful it is. I would recommend this place to everyone if your ever out in TN. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Rob and Dorothy

We stayed for one night in May 2016 - frankly, we could have stayed forever. The room was charming, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a real experience sleeping under the road! Sitting by our own private waterfall with a coffee was truly memorable and washed our cares away. John and Mildred prepared a delicious breakfast and we enjoyed chatting with them over a leisurely meal. This was a once in a lifetime stay and we are so glad we found D it.

The Ledford Mill Bed and Breakfast is one of the most unique places I have ever stayed. If you like different, this is it! Not only is the location and place unique and charming, so are the innkeepers, John and Mildred. We can't wait to be in the area again and hope they have room for us.

Just returned from 4 days staying at the Ledford Mill B&B and wish I was still there. I can't say enough good things about this place. Loved the location and the surroundings could not have been better. The owner's (John & Mildred) were the sweetest couple and made our stay so enjoyable. I felt like I knew them my whole life and feel I've made new friends for a lifetime. This was my first time staying in a B&B and I was a little hesitant at first. That feeling quickly changed once I met them and I felt so comfortable. The Mill is so unique and interesting, so many things to see and do around the area. I loved the rustic charm and the waterfalls were so peaceful. I think I've been ruined for life, I don't ever want to stay in another B&B except this one. John and Mildred supply everything you need for a wonderful stay and the experience was wonderful. Loved little Snickers, such a cute cat, she even slept with us one night. Such a homey wonderful place. Like I said earlier, I can't say enough good things about this place. If you like rustic you'll love this place. I highly recommend it to everyone and plan to return for another wonderful stay. Thanks John and Mildred, loved the breakfasts and loved you.

Had a wonderful valentine's weekend here. Its a lovely place and the view from our room was gorgeous. The owners of the mill were very knowledgeable about the history of the mill and the surrounding areas. The breakfast was awesome and they keep a stocked fridge that we was able to help ourselves to while getting to play cards and lots of yummy desserts was made available. We loved it there and will definitely will be back. Also we ate dinner at another mill just a few miles down the road can not remember the name but awesome food. The owners of the bed and breakfast does keep a book of things to and restaurants near by. Also they do have a cat named snickers sweet and did not really bother us at all.

My wife and I spent the weekend at the Ledford Mill Bed & Breakfast while in the area for a nephew's wedding. My wife was initially not too happy about staying 40 minutes away from the wedding and all its activities, but the beauty of the place, peacefulness, and conversation with John, Mildred, and Snickers (well, Snickers did not converse much, but listened and entertained very well!) quickly won her over. She was able to relax much more than she had thought possible, and wished we could stay a bit longer. The breakfasts were excellent as usual, the setting as lovely as ever, and John and Mildred bend over backwards to make you feel, not so much at home, but more like an honored guest. We both will be looking for another opportunity/excuse to visit here in the near future.

This place is wonderful! It is very rustic and charming. The waterfalls outside our room was so peaceful. My husband and I had the whole place to ourselves and we roamed the antique store while grabbing late night snacks from the kitchen. Homemade cake and cookies are always available and Snickers, the cat is always ready for some lovin from the guests. Our breakfast was amazing and our hosts made us feel right at home. We booked our next stay over breakfast!
The Falls room is considered our most romantic. When you walk out the door you are facing the garden and our two waterfalls. This room has the best view of and sounds from the waterfalls. It has an outside entrance, a private bath with a footed tub, a propane fireplace, and a stone wall that was hand stacked in 1810. The Falls room is usually our recommendation if staying just one night.
: $120 - $120
: $120 - $120
The Creek room is large with a view of Shipman Creek as it passes from under the Mill. It has an inside entrance, a private bath with a footed tub, a propane fireplace, a separate sitting area, a stone wall that was hand stacked in 1810, and a large private deck at the back of the Mill (Great for sitting out in the evening). Both waterfalls are visible from the deck and from the bathroom. The sofa folds out into a queen bed to allow for up to two additional guests. Most comfortable room for people over six feet tall.
: $125 - $125
: $125 - $125
The Loft room is our largest. It is on a floor by itself, offering the most privacy. It has an inside entrance, has a private bath with a footed tub and a separate standing shower, a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator, a separate sitting area, and a small balcony at the tree top level. One waterfall and Shipman Creek are visible from the balcony. The room has a queen bed, plus, in a walled off area within the room, two twin beds. This is a great room for a family or for longer stays.
: $145 - $145
