Booking process was very simple. Since we were arriving late on Friday for a 2 night stay we got that night for half the normal rate. We arrived about 8:30pm and followed the instructions on the door to ring the bell and go around to the right. At that point we were met by a maintenance man I think who spoke almost no English. We got the key and made our breakfast choices then were told where the room was. We stayed in room 10 known as"The Penthouse". Different in that the bathroom is upstairs from the living area. Knew that going in and it was no problem. What isn't very clear from the pictures is the size of the living/bedroom area. To say it's small would be an understatement. Tiny is better. Watching TV or relaxing is only comfortable on the bed. Back to the bathroom. There is no TV as pictured - not a big deal but it shouldn't be pictured. Plenty of hot water for the huge tub - just know it will take a good 30 minutes to fill. Road noise really isn't a big detractor as long as the window A/C unit is running. Breakfast was average but the service was very prompt and it was hot. Room was very clean. If you're looking for a destination stay I would say Weatherford overall would be a C-. Having stayed in several other B&B locations with about the same price I would give this a C.

Stayed in room #1. Was not our first choice, but we made the reservation on short notice over a holiday weekend. Candace was wonderful; we appreciated her hospitality and local advice/recommendations. The room has loads of character. Loved the fireplace, There is a unique "apothecary" drawer where guests have left hand written notes. Many notes date back over a decade. Of course we left a note as well. One interesting experience: The room does not have a bathroom door. The house and landscape is really incredible. Walking distance to Chandor Gardens. As for breakfast - we loved it, and we LOVE the fact that it is brought to your door at a time range you select. So rather than eating with a bunch of strangers at an inconvenient time, breakfast is delivered to each room. Awesome. Wish more B&Bs would think of this, Overall a great stay.

My husband and I stayed two nights at Angel's Nest during March. We had never stayed at a B&B before and were a little unsure as to what to expect. I think the word that best describes our stay is pampered. I was surprised to find out the pictures don't even almost do justice to the beauty of the house and our room. The whole place smells and looks so clean, and every detail of this place is beautiful. Every staff member we met is courteous and amiable. The location, while right on a highway, is hardly noticeable due to the hilltop the mansion sits on. We had a private jacuzzi on our porch which is amazing, and the breakfast is so delicious. We will absolutely be back.

My husband booked our honeymoon at the Angel's Nest for December 1-3, 2009. It snowed our first night and no one else was there, so it was like having the house to ourselves. There are all kinds of historical artifacts in the home including pictures of the original owner, C.D. Hartnett and family, a really old gas pump, and an Egyptian artifact. Too many items to name. We wanted pictures of us at the house and the cook/maid graciously took picture after picture all over the house of us. We stayed in the tower suite with balcony and private bathroom up stairs in the turret. Views of the city of Weatherford are incredible and there is also a TV and DVD player above the hot tub. Amazing for people who like quiet and privacy. I can't say enough good things about the Angel's Nest...if you are considering a bed and breakfast in or around weatherford, the Angel's Nest is the place to be. The innkeeper is also very flexable and helpful. She was willing to do anything we wanted. She's really open to making your stay memorable.

My husband and I have been to Angel's Nest on several occasions. We always enjoy our stay and have tried the majority of the rooms. We have not been disappointed! My husband loves the breakfasts and looks forward to them. We enjoy the hospitality and always look forward to returning. Best ever!

Loved the furnishings, coziness and especially the fireplace in Room 1. Following a delightful breakfast, we enjoyed some warm early spring weather on the comfortable porch. The Angel's Nest is a step back in time but with modern touches. We hope to return with more family and compare notes on other rooms!

My husband took me to the Angels Nest for a romantic night after dinner on my birthday. I cannot begin to tell you just how amazing our stay was. We stayed in room 10, which the pictures do not do it justice, trust me. First off, walking into this hundred year old house was like stepping back in time. It was so beautiful and had such an old world charm, I was in love at once! There is even a hidden door under the staircase.. love that! So, once we arrived, checked in, and looked around this goliath of a house, the lovely lady who checked us in led us up the grand staircase, (all the while, Im pretending Im Scarlet from Gone With The Wind walking up these stairs with my Rhett Butler), to our room. Room 10 was just lovely. There was a HUGE king size bed with about a million pillows... or maybe 6 or 8, regardless the number they were large and soft, (my favorite), and the bed was surround by tall windows with drawstring shades, a huge flat screen hanging over the bed, an oh-so-fabulous-and-sexy chaise lounge, a little cafe table for two with champagne on ice, our own perfectly placed private balcony (which we actually were able to see the Fort Worth lights later in the evening), and the best part was the bathroom....yes you read right, the bathroom.

We were looking for a place to stay to get away from the city and relax for a romantic evening. Just 3 minutes from Downtown restaurants in Weatherford TX, the Angel's Nest B&B was an excellent home base for our romantic evening! The service welcomed us at the front door, quickly checked us in, and whisked us up to our room. We stayed in Room 4, which had it's own private balcony overlooking the city. The bed was palatial and afforded a good night's rest fit for a king! The room also had a large Jacuzzi tub which was wonderful, and the room came stocked with candles and the matches to light them, a nice touch! The leather sofa was also very nice to rest on. In the morning, the lady of the house brought us our meal at just the right time, and we ate it in our room comfortably and privately. Overall our stay was excellent, and I would recommend it to any couple looking for a quiet respite out in the Texas countryside. The only criticism we have is that we wish that the lady greeting us had told us the history of the house when we first arrived. I am sure she would have, had we asked, but it would add to the splendor of staying in such a historical home.

The house was nice and clean. But we went in july and you jknow it is hot in texas in july and in the was only a window unit to cool the room and it was hot. We stayed in room #4. The jeted tub was cracked but it did work. The breakfeast was not good. I will not stay there again.

We slipped away in midweek for a rest and a leisure explore of Weatherford. We were the only couple there, so the house was quiet, adding to its charm. Our room, Room Five, had an enormous jetted tub for two. Loved it. Also we had a private balcony looking over the grounds. Although we could have had breakfast in our room, since we were the only ones there, we opted for a private breakfast in the formal dining room. and the food was excellent. Our host was gracious and helpful about Weatherford points of interests. While there, don't miss the Chandor Public Gardens--magical!

The room was cozy and comfortable. Hot tub was relaxing and much needed. The omlet and homeade biscuits were the bomb.com. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay super nice. We will definitely be letting our friends know and we will be back. I definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Our trip was a surprise gift from our children for our 30th anniversary. Had to play some phone tag to get the reservations set up, but the owner and staff were extremely friendly accommodating. Beautiful historic home. Loved spending time wandering around the place. Will return again if possible!

We have stayed twice. Would love to make it an annual tradition. We have seen each room, but our favorite is Room #3. We love the hot tub on the private porch. We like the location of this room since it is downstairs but not next door to any other rooms. The kitchen entrance is across from our door but we didn't mind. Between our two visits, a new king sized bed was placed in this room. Slept like a baby in it too. Love the fact that breakfast is delivered to your door. We feel very comfortable there unlike B&Bs we've visited before where it was way too formal setting. Love big old houses and the privacy in this place. Would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a nice quiet get away. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

We stayed at Angel's Nest for our one year anniversary. Everyone we came into contact with was so nice! The home is BEAUTIFUL! We were able to go to them with any needs we had and they were still very customer friendly. We will definitely stay there again.

My husband & I needed a romantic getaway to help our marriage. This B&B was the perfect spot in every way. The room was large, had a beautiful comforter and bed with a Jacuzzi tub and very romantic balcony. I was so pleased that we had bathrobes and a coffee maker included in our room. The inn keeper was not chatty Kathy and were we pleased to not have to listen to all the history of the town and all that other info we didn't want to hear. We were there to enjoy each other and de-stress. We had such a good time that we called home to check our baby sitter to see if we could stay another night. I felt like a different person after having breakfast delivered to our room each morning. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and balcony so much, my husband seems to be a different person now. The grounds were well taken care of and we look forward to doing this again.

We just wanted a change of pace from the DFW area, but were very much disappointed. After only a cursory introduction to the staff/owners (we don't know which), we still don't know anything about this wonderful old house. Noisy (by 18 wheelers passing by), and quite a bit smaller than the pictures suggest. Room 3 advertises a hot tub that holds 8-- no way, maybe 4. They had to fill it with a garden hose through our bedroom to get it hot. We had to hook up the DVD player ourselves, and it was drafty and too cold at first. The house has wonderful potential, but we apparently were there on a bad day for them (whoever they are). With a little more customer service and attention to details, it could be rated higher...

Our first clue should have been the half used guest bottle of mouthwash, left for our use, that I immediately threw in the trash. The room was beautiful and the furnishings lovely, everything seemed wonderful, minus the mouthwash, until we got into bed. The whole bed smelled like mildew. I'm not talking about a slight mustiness of an antique, the whole bed smelled like a wet towel left on the bathroom floor for days. It was so late we just tried to air it out and spray it down with body spray just to get to sleep. The next day we tried to use the whirlpool and to our dismay the jets sprayed out all this blackish gray gunk. We talked to the staff about having both issues remedied and they were very kind. They changed the sheets but I'm sad to say the smell did not completely go away. The whirlpool was also cleaned but it never stopped blowing out gunk. I tried flushing it out more than a dozen times (I was determined to take a bath, there is no shower in rm 4) but I still wasn't able to use it. When breakfast came on the final day we realized that the fork my husband was about to use still had jelly on it from who knows when, his spoon was chewed up and rusty and my "clean" napkin had some sort of goop still attached, so we left our food, packed up and went to the Weatherford Cafe for breakfast before leaving town. Needless to say if we are ever in Weatherford again we will be going back to the Cafe (which was wonderful!), but sadly we will never go back to the Angels Nest B&B. A bit of advice to the Nest, as a frequent B&B guest, the Angles Nest has unbelievable potential. Pay attention to the details, run whirlpool cleaner through your tubs regularly, and be sure everything is clean and smells clean before letting guests in your rooms. Maybe our experience was a fluke but some of the issues were just so careless, I have a hard time believing we were the only guests with these complaints.

My husband and I stayed at Angel's nest last weekend and the experience was so great that I needed to tell someone. The home is beautiful, immaculate, the housekeppers and owner are very accomidating and polite. I recommended Angel's nest to everyone I know. I was taken on a tour of availa ble rooms and room 2 is the best room in the house, with an outdoor screened in patio and huge hot tub, but the jacuzzi tub in room 5 and the decor of room 5 is beautiful. Next time I'm booking for room 5 for sure.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful bed and breakfast in January. It is one of the most striking historic homes I have seen. The room was clean and well appointed. We stayed in room 3 with a hot tub on the patio and unfortunately the breaker was blown and the staff who was supposed to be "monitoring the temperature" for us did not even realize the breaker was off. So, we did not get to use the hot tub which was very disappointing. The bathroom in this room is very small. The bed and TV were awesome. We toured the other rooms and they all were as beautiful as the next. The breakfast was just "okay". It was bacon, eggs and biscuits. The biscuits were really good. We definitely want to go back and try another room. The host was really nice at check-in although we could not find anyone at check-out to tell about our hot tub debacle. I would recommend this B&B but if you get a room with a hot tub, make sure the breaker is on and the temperature is rising.

I've had the good fortune to visit this B&B on several occasions. However, this was our first time to actually aquire a room and stay. My wife & I stayed on a Saturday night, a short trip as we live in the DFW area. Room #2 was great, awesome bed, large telivision above the roaring fireplace, and a wonderful night's stay. And best of all, the outdoor hottub on the private patio. Even though the patio shares a door with the staff's kitchen, the staff made sure not to use the patio during our stay. There was a seperate television and remote on the patio, which made watching telivision from the hottub easy. We spent a nice portion of our night's stay in the hottub. Like I said, I've been able to tour each of the rooms, and this is my favorite room, basically due to the furniture and comfort level, edging out room 10. The only thing I'd mention is that since the room is the closest to the kitching, you can hear the staff preparing breakfast. But, it wasn't a bother to us.

Very nice home and room. Breakfast was very ordinary and I prefer something special when staying at a B&B. Not enough hot water the first night we were there to fill the tub. Had a fireplace, but was not usuable.

We were astonished by the beautiful rooms, well kept home, and the amazing amenities. The breakfast was wonderful and everything was done to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. We were given a tour of the property and history. The grounds are beautiful and serene. This is really a place to get away and the prices were VERY Reasonable. We are planning an anniversary tradition.

We stayed Labor day weekend and it was like having one foot in the past and one foot in the future. The atmosphere was very relaxing and you had plenty of privacy, if you wanted it. The views from the porch toward the east are fantastic and I watched a beautiful sunrise. The bed we stayed in was so comfortable I did not want to get up in the morning and breakfest was very good and intimate and provided for in our room. I will defintely go back when I need to escape to a more peaceful time.

We arrived to our room and it was wonderful! TV in the main room and bathroom! Beautiful covered patio. The hot tub on the porch was huge and very private! We spent most of our time on the patio. It had a hopt tub, dining set for four a round chaise lounge that woudl hold 3 people and a TV/DVD/VHS. Breakfast was wonderful, too...bacon, eggs, fruit, biscuits & jam...yum! We will be back for sure!

This is a delightful home filled with old furniture and charm. If you are looking for a romantic get away with a loved one this is the place to go. My wife and I loved it. We were left alone but when we needed service it was prompt and the breakfast was to die for. I would go there just to eat. if you live in weather ford or the surrounding area consider your self luck to have a place like this to get away. Jenny from Houston
