Jim makes a gourmet breakfast each morning. Old, historic B&B. Easy walk to everything! They will help plan your day if you want. The schooners at the harbor are beautiful! We took a 2 hour sail on the Olad (don't go if foggy ... you won't see anything). Recommend eating at Claws in Rockport for an authentic lobster lunch/dinner! It is a wonderful place. The Elms Inn is top notch and reasonably priced.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review of your stay with us! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and Chef Jim's breakfasts! That coast of Maine fog does roll in on occasion... but somehow it can add to the mystique of a Maine adventure! Just means you'll need to come back and try another sail experience on a Maine schooner .... Thanks again so much for staying with us at Elms Inn Bed and Breakfast !

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to a beautiful, bright bed chamber overlooking a lush green garden...just a couple of blocks from the harbor! The bed chamber was well appointed and hosted everything on could need -- it was spotless clean. At check-in we had been given a great walking map of the area and a wonderful dinner recommendation. The bed was so comfortable and the cool Maine air made the evening dreamy. The first morning we enjoyed a wonderful sweet breakfast that featured garden fresh blackberries. After breakfast, the owners took extra time to learn of our interests and to guide us around the area...at their recommendation, we was the Windsor Chair company, Mt Battie (a must), a renouned decoy carver, striped cows, cute shops and much more. That evening we enjoyed a great meal at Shepard's Pie. The savory breakfast the next morning was delicious. As frequent b&b visitors, the breakfast at Inns At Blackberry Common were right at the top of the list of the best we have enjoyed in recent years. If you can only stay in one place in Maine -- this is it!

Several years ago, we spent a few days at the "Inn at Blackberry Commons" -- it was wonderful. We have come back and plan yearly visits.

Clean, quaint and the little comforts that make your visit more enjoyable, like a one-cup fresh coffee maker and pay-by honor system wine and beer in the fridge. We found it very charming and quiet, (except for some upstairs "neighbors" with small kids) Breakfast was excellent. This inn is walking distance to downtown, which hosts a great bookstore, too! We would stay there again if we are in the area.

Only stopped for one night, but we found the staff to be very accommodating and the rooms outstanding. Breakfast was also outstanding. We left a raincoat and Jim said it was no problem to mail it to us. All in all, we will enjoyed it very much and will be back.

We stayed 2 nights over the summer. We loved the property and the food was excellent. It had the best of a B&B (great food, charming environment) and boutique hotel (no pressure to interact with the host/staff unless we sought it out). This set the bar high for other B&B's. We'll be back.

The Inns at Blackberry Commons in Camden, Maine is one of the nicest B&Bs I have stayed in....the service was fantastic, the staff was so friendly (thanks, Aspen), the food was top notch, and the location is great for anywhere you might be headed!
The Iris flower is said to represent love and power. It is also the inspiration for the 'Fleur de Lys'. You will fall in love and be inspired by this charming cottage style room located in the restored Tinker's Cottage with its own private entrance off the garden patio. This spacious room has a sitting area with flat screen tv, wireless Internet, and a comfortable king size bed dressed with luxurious linens. Enjoy the private bath with a large glass shower. Take advantage of the air conditioning on warmer days or enjoy the charm and fresh garden air through a screened patio door on milder days or the gas fireplace in winter. This room was updated in October 2017 with new lighting, bedding, linens, artwork, accent furniture, and room decor.
The Aster flower, so named for the stars because of the shape of its blossoms, symbolizes elegance and refinement. The Aster, once the original master bedroom, also exemplifies elegance and refinement. This second-floor guest room is a spacious retreat complete with a four poster queen size bed piled high with pillows and dressed in luxury linens. There is a comfortable sitting area with winged back chairs, perfect for a quiet read at the end of a day's adventure. Enjoy the flat screen tv or relax in the private bath with a tub/shower combination. Air conditioning, a gas fireplace, and free WiFi round out the modern conveniences.
Daisies are believed to be more than 4000 years old. Celtic legend tells us that the spirits of children would sprinkle daisies upon the earth to spread comfort and cheer. This cozy second-floor guest room is filled with an innate cheerfulness that promises to lift your spirits. It hearkens back to the village homes on the island and has a warm, quiet and comfortable atmosphere which makes it a great alternative to Camden hotels. The original wide pine floors are rare and in early colonial times would have been considered “king’s wood” and shipped to England. A gas stove is inset into the original fireplace and is conveniently controlled by a wall mounted thermostat. In early American times, this fireplace would have been the only heat for this room. Now, a comfortable queen size bed, dressed with fine custom linens, awaits guests. A jetted tub, cozy sitting corner, and flat screen TV provide today’s desired conveniences.
The Violet is considered the traditional Valentine's Day flower and we feel you'll understand why we chose this beauty to represent our third-floor room. Tucked away at the top of the house, this guest room is a perfect hideaway with no adjourning walls and no one above you! Perfect for a romantic retreat or a private getaway. Dormer ceilings create a cozy atmosphere and the wide board plank floors create a cottage-like feeling. A queen bed with custom linens, gas fireplace, private bath with shower, and a second private entrance round out this 'Crows Nest' room. This room is not recommended for persons with mobility issues or who desire high ceilings as the maximum ceiling height is 6'5" and the room is on the third floor of the house. Other features include air conditioning, WiFi, and luxury bath products.
The Dahlia flower symbolizes the drawing upon inner strength to succeed. This room was the true heart of the home, the kitchen, and represents well the strength of our early-American ancestors and their desire to succeed in their strange, new land. Located on the ground floor, this room is the inn's flagship room and an excellent choice for guests with mobility issues. The original cooking fireplace is trimmed by wide plank moldings and rich wide-pine floors. A large bay window lets in plenty of light, high ceilings add to the feeling of spaciousness, and a private patio entrance adds charm to this room. The room is furnished with a queen-size mahogany bed dressed with custom bedding. Enjoy the luxury of the spacious tile bath with whirlpool tub and shower. Air conditioning keeps you comfortable during the summer months.
Lupines are symbolic of imagination and possess the scent of honey. It's little wonder they attract the Karner Blue Butterfly. We feel you'll be attracted to this gem of a room tucked away with its own private entrance off the cottage garden. This first-floor guest room is located in the restored Tinker's Cottage. Enjoy the patio with its bistro tables or curl up on the window seat with a good book. Updated in October 2017, this room has enhanced lighting, a gas fireplace, air conditioning, new bedding, furniture, room decor, and artwork. A private bath with shower complete the room.
