We frequently find ourselves in Sharpsburg, MD at longtime friend Foxcross Pottery. This was another pottery pick-up and birthday getaway for my wife. I wanted to find a "special" place to stay. Found it for sure at the Jacob Rohrbach Inn! Their hospitality was outstanding! Paul's fresh roasted coffee and Joanne's delicious breakfast coupled with the breakfast conversation is a "bed and breakfasters" dream come true. We stayed in the Generals Quarters, which is a beautifully restored detached Summer Kitchen featuring the old fireplace, porches and loaded with history books. Dont let winter keep you away, the Battlefield provides excellent crosscountry skiing(thanks to Joanne's recommendation) They made you feel like old friends! We'll be back! Tim and Jen

We were very happy with our stay over the Valentine's Day weekend. Joanne and Paul were exceptional hosts, providing a rich knowledge of the area, the town, and of their home. We stayed in the Antietam Room, and were extremely pleased. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Our breakfast was delicious and the conversations we shared with the Breitenbachs and the other guests were interesting and enjoyable. If you love history, you'll love the Jacob Rohrback Inn. This place is a keeper; we will return!

Beautiful accomodations, in historic Sharpsburg so close to the battlefield you can almost see the campfires! The best food and hosts a person can find. We know that it's their business, but we felt a closeness to joanne and paul that shows their true spirt. Good people always show through and we think these are the BEST! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE JACOB ROHRBACH INN!!!! C & T from South Dakota
