The view is outstanding, the building is beautiful and well-maintained, the hosts are attentive and very accommodating. Only two small complaints. The mattress was way too firm for me and my husband's tastes and the water temperature fluctuates quickly.
I had such a wonderful time here. The atmosphere was perfect. They helped me make it a surprise for my other half and it was so unique and not something to forget. Thank you! I recommend this place no matter what if your traveling or special occasion. I know it was one of my best nights rest in a long time!!
This was a perfect location a block from shopping and retaurants and 5 min from Garden of God's and 20 to Piles Peak. Kim and Dave were awsome hosts and they had everything you could imagine from snacks to books videos, morning newspapers and even pool and pinball. What a romantic 30th we had!
Picked this place for the private hot tub. Unfortunately was more like a bath due to the low flow jets. Owners were nice and breakfast was decent. Not worth the price that they charge in my opinion.
We stayed in the Colorado columbine room. It was comfortable and clean. The outdoor patio was a perfect place to enjoy morning coffe or a lazy afternoon reading. Great for people watching too! OTGH is located centrally half a block off the main strip in Old Colorado City near restaurants and shops. There are also so many activities and things to do just a few miles away. Wonder fulbstay and wonderful location.
Kim is very welcoming and quickly makes you feel at home when you get there. They have rules like all others and maybe hold back if you are in your twenties/thirties. My wife and I are in our early forties/fifty and we loved the quietness and charm of the home. The décor to the carpet is great! The home has a front sitting area and fireplace, with a basement with a pool table and TV. Two points of feedback but we are not big TV watchers.... the TV in the basement needs to be larger to accommodate the "game room" feel and the TVs in the room are awkwardly positioned where you have to look to the side of the bed. Also check out can be a little more flexible to 1pm. Other than that, a wonderful experience, 1 block from the Art Walk in Colorado Springs and very direct to Manitou Springs! Highly recommend this B&B!
Our visit in August 17' was not our first time to stay; because of our positive first experience we came back. We prefer the small, intimate, family feel of the lodge where you get to know the staff by first names and everyone is so helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, very clean and the lodge location is convenient for relaxing and/or sightseeing. Vancouver Island had been our favorite vacation spot to stay, however, for various reasons it is now Eagle Fire. Wish we were there right now noshing on one of the yummy waffles. We shall return.
We loved Pikes Peak Paradise and can't wait to return. The rooms all have a great view, the breakfast is delicious every morning and the hospitality is outstanding. The afternoon wine is a nice touch and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream/desserts set out in the evenings. Ron really goes above and beyond to take care of his guests.
We loved this quiet comfortable property filled with wonderful furnishings and history. You could spend an hour in the comfortable sitting room just perusing the books and items around you. Hosts are friendly and full of information about town. Located close to old town Colorado Springs, there is lots of shopping/dining choices within steps. (Loved Paravicini's Italian Bistro (5 stars), Dat's Italian, and Bon Ton's Cafe for lunch.). We stayed in the Moroccan Jasmine Room. I was impressed with the details in the decorating making this a romantic environment as well as offering all the comforts of home...tv, great makeup mirror, coffee maker, toiletries galore, and a shower with steam...wow. Enjoyed visiting with other guests at breakfast. Would definitely recommend to couples!
I came to Woodland for a conference and it was a great experience. The rooms were clean and spacious. I wasn't that impressed with the breakfast choices but I would definitely recommend it for a quite, clean and kind place to stay.
I loved our stay from start to finish. I loved the location. Every day we explored and found new places to eat within walking distance. The breakfast was spectacular. Everything was very fresh and well prepared. Our room was beautiful and very clean. I loved the steam shower and getting up early to watch the sunrise on the mountains from my balcony. Other bed and breakfasts that I've visited in the past gave me a long list of things I couldn't do in the room but the atmosphere here is very relaxed. They seem prepared for anything. They've already thought of everything you could need and more. I would definitely stay here again! I loved being in Old Colorado Ciry and getting to explore the quiet downtown as well as having easy access to Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
The room was lovely having its own private balcony and hot tub. The owners aim to please and if we needed something special for breakfast, Kim would get it. The location is excellent . The service wonderful . Whenever we come back to Colorado Springs, this will be our first place to stay.
Kim and Dave are so sweet. The property was beautiful in the center of town made it easy to walk about and sight see. The view was wonderful then to add to it we had a hot tub on the patio! Thank you so much will be back again.
We stayed in a cabin at Eagle Fire. The place was cute and provided extra space for us compared to a hotel room. The breakfast was nice. There was cereal, fruit, bagels/english muffin served everyday. An additional hot item was served dailu. The first morning was breakfast burrito which were delicious. The next day were tasty waffles. Coffee and tea was also available. The facility had a whirlpool outside. I was difficult to figure out how to use it. We went into the office and they gave us some verbal directions. It would have been helpful for someone to come out and help us, as the top was heavy and setting it up was confusing.
This is an amazing B&B! We got married near by and they accommodated us and our bags so well and made our special day even more special! The room was super cozy and the breakfast was amazing! Will come again!!
My wife and I don't usually stat at B and Bs. The Old Town B and B was a delightful difference to the average hotel. The owners bend over backwards to please. The rooms are well thought out, clean, and delightful. The view from the private hot tub was enchanting. If you come to Colorado Springs this is definitely the place to stay. Loved it.
I live in the area but get "time away" sometimes. I enjoy the Eagle Fire Lodge because it's always a good price, especially for the busy season. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My room or cabin is always clean and comfortable. I like taking my get-away time here, plus it's close to everything I need in Woodland Park.
My husband & I can't say enough great things about Pikes Peak Paradise! Ron & Robin were the absolute perfect Host & Hostess. My husband & I have stayed at the nicest of Bed & Breakfasts, but I have never and could never find a more perfect bed & breakfast! It was so incredibly perfect it seemed llke a fairy tale!! The views of Pikes Peak from our room were perfect, the breakfast was perfect (outstandingly delicious!!), and we really couldnt find 1 thing that was less than Absolutely Perfect about this B&B!! We cant wait to come back!!! The most relaxing and wildlife with nature too was simply beyond amazing!! Thank you Ron & Robin
I found this guesthouse while looking widely for a special place to stay at the end of a four week trip in the USA. We wanted a romantic place that was a reasonable distance from Denver airport. This place was perfect. The property is custom designed as a romantic B&B, with good in-room and out-of/room facilities. The old town of Colorado Springs is a great location with many great places to eat, shop and relax and is close to attractions such as Pike's Peak. Notably our room included a private hot tub with a view of Pike's Peak where we spent much of out time. The breakfast was great and our hosts were both warm and sensitive to us as a couple and the circumstances of our visit. I couldn't recommend this place more highly it was the perfect end for our trip.
My wife and I have always been reticent to stay at a bed and breakfast because of privacy concerns. However, this seemed like the best deal in Woodland Park, and we decided to give it a try. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised. I booked it for the location and breathtaking views, but Ron was an unexpected bonus, the consummate host. He possesses a natural instinct for assessing each of his guests and providing the correct measure of friendliness and interest, without being overbearing. He made us feel as welcome in his home as lifetime friends and he provided every comfort one would expect during a stay. We anticipated a freshly cooked breakfast, but we woke each morning to waffles, various quiches, hash browns, sausages, coffee, juice, and smoothies. He outdid and himself and made certain that we were well fueled for the day's activities. I heartily recommend Pike's Peak Paradise for the stunning location, waking to Pike's Peak in a cool climate, and the exceptional host who makes you feel welcome in his home.
We booked our stay based on trip advisor recommendations and they were right on target. The room was comfortable and full of amenities. The hosts were friendly and provided us with excellent recommendations for meals in town. They even packed us a portable breakfast so that we could get to the park early to hike. We will definitely be back.
We stayed a week here and took day trips in and around Woodland Park. It was nice to have a kitchen and we like that dogs are welcome. Pam was especially nice and even brought our Doodle treats. It is a laid back atmosphere, no hassle stay. I've stayed there twice and would do so again.
